About Dr. Meltzer

Barnet Meltzer, M.D., is a pioneer and leading expert in the fields of Preventive Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Clinical Nutrition. He has over 40 years of clinical experience integrating natural healing techniques and lifestyle changes-such as nutrition, fitness, meditation, and stress reduction-with traditional medicine to individualize and optimize health care for each of his patients.

As cleansing has become more popular in the past 10-15 years, Dr. Meltzer noticed that a lot of the cleanses not only left out important clinical and metabolic features of the cleansing process, but were unnecessarily difficult to follow due to extreme calorie restriction-often leaving people feeling hungry and tired. In conjunction with his son, Jordan Meltzer, Dr. Meltzer launched Pure Start Cleanse to provide a more balanced and more effective way to cleanse that doesn’t require starving yourself or feeling depleted. Pure Start Cleanse is based on a unique cleansing process that Dr. Meltzer has developed and refined over the past 5 decades and has incorporated into nearly 200,000 patient consultations.
